This is for the amazing *emmil's contest Forbidden Love for 100K hits.

Well, this really didn't turn out how I wanted... Steel wire is not fun to work with. I swear it either breaks or it won't bend right... Being able to solder would have helped too. Hopefully I'll be able to start working with silver and well, silversmithing in general.

The piece is 2 3/8" wide and tall. Two glass beads were used.

Despite all of the complaining, I loved the idea of it, and I loved the theme, and using fire and water for it. Powerful forces that will destroy each other if they touch. So that is why the two beads are separated like they are.

In a way, this also kind of goes with a poem I made of the same theme, which can be seen here --> [link]

This is beautiful!
At first when I saw it, I thought it was a two part, companion jewellery piece... you know like the 'best friends' pendants you can split in half?
But now I can see the "unity" (if i can call it that) and it makes more sense for the theme the way you've done it. I do like how you've woven both the silver and the gold together in the loop at the top. Well done!

I think the concept is great, most people really stuck with a sort of good/evil angel/devil thing and I personally think fire/water works better than light/dark in this case since there can be a middle ground with light/dark.

Thank you. It took me awhile to get my concept just right. It was almost fire and ice, but then I remembered a time when I dripped water onto a candle and either one or both disappeared.

Yah, I think fire/water works better than fire/ice just because sometimes fire isn't hot enough to melt certain ice but water and fire are always a threat to each other. (plus ice is a blanket termXD including diamonds, not even in rap terms, it's science)

haha, indeed. fire doesn't do a whole lot to diamond, and vice versa. That would've been bad if I'd done ice and it'd come across as having something to do with rap!

...Actually... rap and fire could sort of come together! Big fire blazes make all sorts of crazy sounds... and rap makes all sorts of crazy sounds! Oh gad, I think I need sleep....

I think we may have a totally winning combination with fire and rap!! Between us, thanks to our... brilliance..., we have shown the world new lovers!

And I would have never remembered how much better concerts work with a lil' bit of pyromania. I swear I saw a rap video that actually incorporated the "WHOOSH" of fire pillars shooting up from the ground into his song....
